Likely inspired by the slabs thatve long been associated with the Texan destination, the newly-surfaced style of Bruce Kilgores 40-year-old design dons everything from velour toe boxes and inner-lining to metallic silver profile swooshes. Black leather fills in the gaps across the upper, while the sole unit opts for a relatively straightforward ensemble that couples plain white with the type of red flair that might appear on the fifth elbow wheel mounted on the back of a candy paint-donning old American automobile. Lace dubraes reference the southern city, with NIKE-branding on the sock-liner stylized as a cassette tape, surely a nod to the Screw Tapes produced by DJ Screw in his short 29 years of life.
